Wes Anderson and his writing partner Owen Wilson lived close by, and would often use his store as a quiet place to work on their screenplays. Anderson decided to write him into the script they were working on at the time. That script eventually became Bottle Rocket, and the two have been working together ever since.

I feel like Wes Anderson is one of those directors where I could watch his films even if they didn’t have any dialogue, and listen to just the dialogue even if I didn’t have any images to go with it.

Both individual elements are close to perfect.

I completely agree. I listen to Wes Anderson films while I’m doing fashion art homework, there is nothing better.
